Subject Choice Assessments

Subject Choice assessments are aimed at assisting learners entering Grade 9 with their choice of subjects in which to continue their FET phase (Grade 10 to 12) at High School.  These assessments may also assist learners in Grade 7 when they are looking to further their education in the senior phase of formal education in a specific type of school e.g. Technical, Agricultural, Art, Music & Ballet or General Academic schools.

Furthermore, subject choice is important in providing Grade 11/12 learners and their parents with information regarding further study at tertiary level and future career development. Valuable information pertaining to potential, aptitude, personality, interests, values and study habits provide insight into possible interventions that might be required to develop certain of these areas within an individual. Furthermore, these assessments provide information to guide a learner in choosing a suitable future career path that aligns with their individual profile.
